Joshua Allen

Joshua Allen is a freelance producer and writer working in contemporary performance. He works with independent artists and those from queer and culturally diverse backgrounds who explore intercultural ideas, gender and sexuality. Josh recently was a participant in the Asian Producers Platform Camp 2018 in Indonesia, supported with funding from the Australia Council for the Arts, and produced Bureau of Meteoranxiety presented at Next Wave Festival 2018. As a producer he has also worked in the UK as a Young Producer for Battersea Arts Centre and an Assistant Producer for Milk Presents touring their production Joan to Edinburgh Fringe and Australia.
Josh has previously worked for arts organisations across Australia and in the UK including: Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Perth Festival, Emerging Writers’ Festival, The Blue Room Theatre, FRINGE WORLD Festival and the Gate Theatre. He is committed to building pathways for people of colour and First Nations artists entering creative industries and claiming positions of artistic leadership.
